Job Summary
Village Home Stores is looking for recent or upcoming high school graduates as carpentry and flooring installation apprentices to join our team! Why pay tuition to learn a trade when you can get paid to learn with us?! This 4 year apprenticeship program trains you in both carpentry and flooring installation skills and allows you to choose your focused interest/trade on our team after just one year. Start working with us right out of high school and begin your career as you train in your trades position.

Responsibilities:
- Work with and learn from a team of carpenters and subcontractors on our kitchen and bath remodel projects
- You will be trained by our experienced carpenters and flooring installers and work hands-on alongside our team on real home projects for our customers. By year 3 you will be expected to visit jobsites independently and complete tasks you have been trained to do
- Throughout this 4 year apprenticeship you will hone skills and techniques within your focused trade on our team and continue to learn on-site with each project and product install
- Follow directions, read plans and drawings, and complete tasks assigned to you
- Be comfortable using app-based project management software to communicate with out team, our subcontractors, and our customers
- Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently, stay on task, and use time-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers, contractors, and employees
