Job Summary
Village Home Stores (Downtown Geneseo) is seeking a part-time appliance sales associate 24 – 30 hours per week. This job requires persons who are detail oriented, have good communication skills and have some general computer knowledge.   Pays an hourly rate plus commission and bonus.  No Nights. No Sundays. No Holidays. Benefits include paid time off, company matching retirement program and AFLAC insurance. Family-owned business with a great work environment. Experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
 
Village Home Stores is a one-stop-shop offering many departments all in one location. We staff a sales team specific to each department so our customers can know they are working with an expert in each space. On the appliance sales floor, you will be the face of the company dealing with all customer questions about kitchen and laundry appliances in both new and existing homes. It will be your job to keep customers happy and continue to expand your knowledge on new company products, services and policies. The kitchen and bath industry is an exciting space and Village Home Stores is glad to have our products and services invited into so many homes in our region. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Being able to greet customers, answering questions, engaging customers with merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service
  • Guiding customers to merchandise within the store and online
  • Gain and retain product knowledge with a desire to continue product training as new appliance features are introduced
  • Contribute to sales goals and partner with existing sales team to give all customers a great experience with our brand
  • Greet and seek out customers in the store
  • Build trust with existing customers and clients who are shopping with Village in many departments
Qualifications:
  • Experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
  • Professional appearance
  • Personable and friendly attitude
  • Understanding of sales principles and confidence to ask for a sale
  • General computer knowledge
